Advance auto parts has a set of these coilovers from Monroe, they're called Sensa-Trac Part #58577 for 73-74 small block chargers at $80.99. They are supposed to maintain ride height.
This is where I found my torsion bars for my '73 Charger SE, PST carries Heavy duty torsion bars for excellent handling. 1973 and 1974 Chargers have longer torsion bars than the '71-'72 models. Be specific when ordering your replacements.

FFI has a great article on the "Ackerman Steering principle" on MOPARS. The effects of using a long pitman arm (custom by Firmfeel) and a stock(short) idler arm. This creates a car's turning ratio to be able to turn more acutely to the left than to the right.

Petty
enterprises: Prefab shop. Unique tour 2002
After
an ice storm in early December of 2002 my cousin in Charlotte drove me to Level Cross, NC to
go to the Richard Petty Museum. (The Museum was in Level Cross in 2002.
I couldn't get in to the museum, it was closed beacuse there was no
electricity due to the bad weather. But I was lucky enough to see
something quite close to the museum
where tours aren't held to the public ;). The prefab shop! As we were
taking pictures near the museum's gate, two big trucks both hauling
trailers drove unto the parking lot. One made a wide turn and backed up
close to the gate. The driver jumped out and greeted us and we told him
our sad story. He said " Come on in! We'll show you the pre-fab shop
where we build the cars. I've just brought two cars from wind tunnel
testing for the Daytona race".
The Prefab shop is the place where the Petty's make their bread and
butter. It is where Lee Petty started it all. About 60 feet from his house in a small barn. You can
still see the gable end roof of the barn on the existing building.
If I remember correctly the picture above is a CART racing car being
prepped. There was also a car being studied, the car was involved in an
head on collision. I was told the crew was studying the front frame
rails and engine cage area.

To your door performance parts....... I got this nifty valley tray baffle to
protect the underside of the intake manifold. The valley tray keeps hot oil from
splashing the underside of the intake manifold keeping it cooler. This
is not applicable to big blocks, since their intake manifold has a
valley tray baffle.
